These rich stories were captured through COVID showcasing skills of those travelling from thousands of miles making Birmingham their home, through the ‘Memories in a Box’ (MIB) project.
These memories in a box showcase the rich diversity that exists in Birmingham, during celebration of commonwealth games, giving women the sense of belonging they so long for.
This online exhibition showcases these lost memories and skills through story-telling, photographs and amazing arts and crafts that are encapsulated in this online exhibition to be enjoyed for years to come, keeping them alive, leaving a lasting legacy for future generations.
